33 shell middens discovered in the Oido area are proof of life of the New Stone Age. Over 1000 earthen vessels and other remains found in the middens have been useful in reenacting life as it was 5000 years ago. In addition, ten shell middens from the Iron Age and Unified Silla Dynasty, 13 residences and three Ondol floor-heating houses also from the Unified Silla Dynasty, 869 vessels from the Iron Age and 1,190 vessels from the Three Kingdom Era were also found in this area.
