The officer who gave his liver to a colleague’s daughter with no hesitates, the warm-hearted citizens believe that their small part can be gathered together to give a strong hope to the neighbors in such a hardship. We are proud of them because they impress us with the sincerity. The youth spirit of Siheung is the shallows of emotion, Including Siheung Tidal creek (a ditch on the shore of an inlet) Festival and Oido Festival that make Siheung passionate, diverse set of cultural and artistic performances that unfold at the eye level that is familiar to the ordinary people enrich the lives of people, and the traditional cultural remains transmit the emotion of the many long years.
Siheung Tidal creek Festival unfolds at a ditch on the shore of an inlet which is rare worldwide. The meeting of the nature and the human beings-everyone at the Tidal creek Festival are the sons and daughters of the nature. Along with the live nature, everybody sings the song of ‘Young Siheung’ and everyone becomes on the yell out the dynamic hope.
Including Oido shell mound of the New Stone Age and dolmen of the Bronze Age, valuable cultural remains that help to read the history of the Korean peninsula, are situated in Siheung. Accordingly, the entire city is a living historical museum.
Gunjabong-Seonghwangje(ritual) held for 1,000 years without bypassing not even on year, and Wolmi Dure Natural Landscape Entertainment that prides itself for its solid make-up and artistic characteristic are the representative folkloric entertainment of the Siheung city. Siheung city discovered ‘Samhaeju’, traditional liquor that was otherwise forgotten. Likewise, the city is making utmost effort to preserve the precious cultural assets.
Siheung city, the city of health, is the nation's most outstanding city in terms of controlling contagious disease, and it prides itself for the outstanding management of public sanitation. Moreover, the warm-hearted people who donate 1% of their income to create 100% in terms of sharing love withe the neighbors are creating Siheung city, the city of happiness.

Siheung city is becoming a city for the women; Siheung continues to expand the opportunities of education by holding the HQs of the Hope Workshop for Women and selection as the city of life-long learning as the turning points.
