- The Orange oval signifies the sun, denoting the rising Siheung City that leads the 21st West Coast Era in Korea
- The S-shape at the center signifies the well-developed wide-open road network as well as the alphabet initial S for Siheung City.
- The Blue oval represents the affluent natural environment of Siheung City Adjacent to the West Coast

Emblem representing the authority and position of Siheung City and used on Letter of Appointment under the authority of the Mayor, Awards and public servant identification card, various licenses and other documentsㆍfacilitiesㆍgoods recognized as necessary by the Mayor.

- Emblem can be used in 철인 or insignia and the insignia is awarded to those who contributed in city administration or foreign delegations visiting the City, foreign guest of distinction and overseas Koreans and those who have special ties with the City and those who deem to be necessary by the Mayor.

It expresses Siheung City uniquely and acts the role of connecting the City and citizens, and it is used for establishing friendly image of the City.

- ‘Turtle’, a fecund amphibious reptile symbolizaes fertility and the future of Sihueng City as the leader of the west coast in the 21st century - The character name is coined from ‘Toro’土路(Land Routes) and ‘Hero’海路 (Sea Routes) symbolizing the green zone and sea of Siheung City, a transportation hub, that develops together with nature.
Symbolic Ecosystem (Siheung Tidal flat)
Natural sights with historical and ecological value representing Siheung City and it was appointed for the purpose of increasing awareness and local patriotism on protecting the environments.

Status on representing ecology and background for appointment
- Siheung tidal flat with the size of 227 acres located in the vicinity of Po-dong, Bangsan-dong, Janggok-dong, Wolgok-dong in Siheung is the only surviving inland mudflat within Gyeonggi Province and it is highly worth protecting ecologically with its beautiful natural sceneries, various types of creatures like halophytes a place and habitats for rare animals and plants
- Siheung mud flat, especially, displays the historical geological characteristics of Siheung related with the sea like salt farmㆍreclaimed landsㆍshell mounds and it expressed strong will of citizens and city administrations on developing ecological city where nature and men are in harmony
